Into the Beat: finding oneself through dance

Relax to the rhythm of hip-hop with this German film about Katya, a young dancer caught between two worlds: her family legacy of ballet and her forbidden love of street dance.

This film chronicles a somewhat overly dramaticized journey of a ballet dancer turned rebel who wants to follow her passion for hip-hop, but feels compelled to follow in her father’s footsteps.

Being a Netflix original about teens, it’s emotionally charged with teenage romance.

For fans of dance and emotional stories, this is the perfect film. Watch as Katya expresses her teenage angst through dance and tries to find her own path in life.
