Upcoming concerts

Happy New Year! Thanks to Noise Pop and their annual festival, several artists are coming to the Bay Area next month to celebrate and debut new music.

Spooky Mansion is performing on Feb. 6 at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz and on Feb. 7 at Amnesia Beer & Music Hall in San Francisco.

Chastity Belt and Loose Tooth are performing in San Francisco at the Great American Music Hall on Feb. 8 and in Santa Cruz at The Catalyst on Feb. 9. Their latest self-titled album was released on Sept. 20 of last year.

Dr. Dog and Michael Nau have a five-day residency coming up in the Bay Area, beginning in Santa Cruz at The Catalyst on Feb. 18 and continuing in San Francisco at The Independent on Feb. 19 through Feb. 22. Dr. Dog released their tenth studio album, “Critical Equation,” on April 27, 2018.

The Red Pears, Blushh and Mint are performing in San Francisco at Brick & Mortar Music Hall on Feb. 25.

Y La Bamba will be performing at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz on Feb. 27 and Slim’s in San Francisco on Feb. 28. Their EP, “Entre Los Dos,” was released on Sept. 20 of last year.

Bag Raiders will be performing in San Francisco at The Independent on Feb. 28.

Froth is also performing on Feb. 28 at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz. Their latest album, “Duress,” was released on June 7 of last year.

Good Morning is performing on Feb. 28 at Starline Social Club in Oakland. Their most recent album, “Basketball Breakups,” was released on Oct. 4 of last year.

Habibi will be in San Francisco at Bottom of the Hill on Feb. 29.

Slow Hollows will be at Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco on Feb. 29. Their latest album, “Actors,” was released on Oct. 23 of last year.

Best Coast will also be returning to San Francisco at The Regency Ballroom on Feb. 29. Their new album, “Always Tomorrow,” is set to release on Feb. 21.
