The Savior

By Jose Guzman

My eyes have opened now,
Father time has enlightened me,
The past becoming clear.
The small child saved from it all,
Hopping from place to place,
Trapped with questions endlessly,
The weight of confusion
Giving rise to new terror…

Time truly lost from days to weeks
Yet… the magical mage,
Shared his special wisdom to us,
Brand new revelation,
The first step for a solution,
Darkness of ignorance fades away,
Now, truth sheds like true golden light.

That day never fades away,
Because I still remember his actions.
He saved the little boy,
To truly learn and experience the world.
To be able to carve and explore his path,
Because of a wise man.
I smile softly, as I will always see it now,
The gratitude that envelops the soul,
Filling the heart with more,
The memory held inside me…
