With 63 students signed up on MyRaft, they came prepared in groups of three to four to test their musical knowledge and win this Trivia Night’s prize, Airpods. The six categories of questions were Female Artists, Throwbacks, Boy Bands, Award Winners, Reality Shows and Billboard Charts.

The energy in the room was tense as groups excitedly debated and wrote down their answers to each question. Between categories, teams switched papers and either groaned or cheered at their results.

The scores were tallied up at the night’s end and the team “Sharks” was announced as the winner. Every member of the team walked home with a new pair of AirPods.

Hosted by Associated Students, Mia Lepe and Katie Scott kicked off this first Trivia Night and encouraged students to come to future Trivia Nights that will be hosted throughout the semester.

Trivia Nights will be hosted every other Wednesday at the Otter Express and will have different themes and different prizes! Look out for the next Trivia Night on Feb. 8 – it will be “animal” themed, with animal mugs as the prize.
