Bike to Breakfast

Basic Needs and the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Sustainability at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) held their Bike to Breakfast event, kicking off RAFT week on Oct. 11. From 8 to 11 a.m, the first 100 students who biked, skated, scooted or came to campus in another sustainable way received a free breakfast sandwich in front of the Otter Student Union.

In addition to the breakfast sandwiches, a zero waste store called Before 1907 was offering handmade soap, eco-friendly laundry detergent and other products for students to check-out and purchase.

While last year’s RAFT week took place virtually, this year’s in-person week represents the true homecoming back to the campus experience.
