The Beach

we drive to the place
where water kisses the land
smelling salty air
excited to let the sunbeams
kiss our face

This Earth
Our Earth
made the floor into a pillow
and we named it sand.

we slip our feet into its soft peaks
and stare at the ocean
shining a crystal clear blue

which glistens and glows
from the sweat of angels.

on the sand
we sink, slowly
finding ourselves embedded in
This Earth
Our Earth
and we remember
we are home.
