Tatted Otters: Ashleigh Adams

Some people get tattoos that hold significant meaning to them, while others like to get silly ones just for fun. However, this doesn’t mean people with tattoos have to commit to just getting meaningful ones or just silly ones. Plenty of people get a mix of both.

Junior Ashleigh Adams has two more meaningful tattoos and one just for fun. She first started getting tattooed when she was 19 and able to afford it.

“Once I found a good local tattoo artist – if I want them, and I have money, I get them,” Adams said.

For Adams, she always liked tattoos and wanted one of her own because of her love of art.

“I’ve always wanted them because I’ve always loved art and the idea of having art with you forever,” Adams said.

She has three tattoos at the moment, one of which is an iconic meme.

“[I have a] stingray on my right shoulder, my dog’s paw print on my left forearm, [and] Smudge the Table Cat on my left hip,” she said. “[The] paw print is for my dead dog who meant a lot to me, [the] stingray is because I like stingrays, Smudge was for fun.”
