In Loving Memory

We can learn from the past era
Yet we cannot dwell in the past life
We wish to relive the past times
But the time has come to leave the past

A memory means more than words
In times of despair and destruction
The thought shines in my world
No one else’s world, but my own

Are memories of a future important
Thoughts and theories of what our lives should be
Or thoughts of what our lives should have been
Perhaps our future is our past; what is it then

We live from our memories
They shape us to be something
Or help us become something
Maybe we already are something

What it may be
May we live from our memories
For they are who we are
In loving memory,

My mind
