St.Vincent De Paul thrift store is one of the best local thrift spots. They have a wide assortment of items from great clothing options to furniture for your dorm.
There is always a sign out front that informs customers of what sales are happening. There are always discounts offered. It ranges from half off various colored tags or specific categories such as furniture or all clothing.
Sometimes, they display free furniture outside the store for anyone interested. One half of the store consists of a great selection of clothes for all, shoes, and tasteful accessories. The other half of the store highlights home furniture, vinyls, books and more.

MPVS Benefit Shop

At the MPVS Benefit Shop you are likely to be greeted first outside with a $1 rack with various types of clothing. Inside, you can find shoes, clothes, accessories and books. If you have a budget, this store is perfect. The prices are very fair because their resources are donated items and the shop often has many sales. The MPVS Benefit Shop is organized by Monterey Peninsula Volunteer Services in order to provide to nonprofit organizations in the Monterey Bay. Through dedicated volunteers, they have been able to donate about $75,000 annually.
This money goes toward education and serving improvement programs for women, seniors, children, those with disabilities, and more. While you shop here, you are contributing to the community!

The Second Chance Thrift Store is the perfect name for this shop. As a local favorite of many CSUMB students, there are tons of amazing finds looking for a second chance at life. Second Chance Thrift can be found in two locations: Monterey and Pacific Grove.
The Pacific Grove location has a variety of items but mostly highlights furniture.There is a selection of affordable furniture pieces from dining chairs, distinct photo frames, to mugs and glasses. You can find perfect additions to bring to your dorm space. Not too far from the Pacific Grove store is the second Monterey location. This location focuses more on fashion and clothing. You can find color tag sales every week.
