Graduating this semester? Pay attention to your inbox!

Graduation protocol has changed this semester, so pay attention if you plan on participating in the Commencement Ceremony this spring.

Unlike years past, all students will celebrate graduation on the same day, Sunday, May 21. There will be separate, smaller ceremonies for each college within the school, all taking place at the Salinas Sports Complex. Information for individual ceremonies is as follows:

  • The College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences will graduate first at 9 a.m. at the Rabobank Stadium in Salinas.
  • The entire  graduating class of 2023 participates in the Annual Commencement Ceremony at 11:30 a.m. in the California Rodeo Arena.
  • The College of Business and Health Sciences and Human Services will celebrate at 2 p.m. at the Rabobank Stadium.
  • The College of Education and the College of Science will receive their honors at 2 p.m. in the California Rodeo Arena.

Gradfest will be held April 5-h6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the OSU Ballroom. This event helps  graduating seniors prepare by ordering caps and gowns, receiving information on tickets and parking, and taking senior portraits. Look out for an email sent to your CSUMB email regarding specific stoles.

For all seniors who live on campus, housing has announced the deadline to be out of your unit will be Monday, May 22 by noon. Any extensions beyond then will have to be authorized by Student Housing before May 22 to avoid penalty fees.
