UPD finds loaded magazine at World Theater

In an email sent out to campus faculty and staff on April 28, California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) President Edward Ochoa revealed during an event at The World Theater, an attendee found a loaded magazine on the floor.

Ochoa reassured staff and faculty that University Police do not believe anyone on campus is in danger and that University Police have found no evidence of an immediate or impending threat to anyone on campus.

After the attendee gave the magazine to law enforcement, University Police conducted a search and contacted all individuals seated near where the magazine was found. They did not identify any other contraband or potentially dangerous material after the search.

University Police will continue to investigate the occurrence, and encourage anyone who has information about it, or anyone who has witnessed suspicious behavior to call 831-655-0268 to report it.
