Letter from the editor

Dear Otters,

I would first like to thank all of our readers for your continued support of The Lutrinae this semester. I am incredibly proud of the work our staff has done this year and am grateful to have such dedicated team members accompanying me in the production of Volume 5 of The Lutrinae.

The Lutrinae took home two awards from the California College Media Awards for our 2021 publications; we placed second in Best Illustration and third in Best Inside Page Design.

I am fortunate to be going into the next year with many of our current staff members joining me and am eager to welcome a few new faces to the team as well. I am sure we are going to have another incredible year for Volume 6 of The Lutrinae, but in the meantime I hope you have all enjoyed this installment of the newspaper.

We will be on hiatus throughout the summer break, but can’t wait to jump back into action for the Fall 2022 semester! I wish everyone the best of luck on finals, and I hope you have a great break. I will see you all in the Fall!

Sincerely,
Arie Nalbach
Editor-in-Chief of The Lutrinae
