Chill out with the Summer Ice Cream Social

The International Programs and the College of Extended Education came together to host an ice cream social on California State University, Monterey Bay’s (CSUMB) main quad on April 6. From 11:30 a.m. to1:30 p.m., students were able to choose from a variety of ice cream flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, fruit popsicles, or ice cream sandwiches and enjoy the sunny day on the quad.

Fourth-year marketing assistant for the international program, Giovana Reis, said the event was put on to promote CSUMB’s summer program “so people can learn more about summer classes and also grab some ice cream and CSUMB swag.”

Participants were able to spin a little prize wheel as they got their ice cream and win some CSUMB gear such as t-shirts, magnets, pens, or chapstick.
