Otters send love letters to loved ones

North Quad Resident Advisor (RA) Palia Vang hosted an event called “Letter To Your Lovers” for students at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) on Feb. 4.

“I’m just a very romantic person, and I love, love letters, especially if it’s to my partner or my friends,” said Vang.

Vang had markers, letter paper, candy, and envelopes for students to design their letters. The event was meant to be a fun experience for participants to express themselves creatively and send a sweet message to a loved one on campus as well.

Vang also encouraged participants to address their letters so they could be hand-delivered to their recipients on campus.

“Even if you don’t have a partner and stuff like that, you can write a love letter to yourself,” Vang said. “This is to promote love and self-love, and it’s just super fun and cute!”
