Upcoming concerts

Some notable names are touring the Bay Area in October, many of whom have just released new albums. Celebrate the spooky season with some of your favorite artists!

Crumb

Crumb will be at Slim’s on Oct 4, as well as Felton Music Hall in Felton on Oct. 5 and the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo on Oct. 6. Lana Del Rey will be performing her new album, “Norman F—— Rockwell,” in Berkeley at the Greek Theatre on Oct. 6. The New Parish in Oakland will be hosting Jerry Paper on Oct. 8, whose  most recent album, “Like a Baby, was released last October.

Tyler, The Creator

Tyler, The Creator will be performing with Blood Orange and Goldlink at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11. Tyler, The Creator’s most recent album, “IGOR,” was released on May 17, featuring popular songs such as “EARFQUAKE” and “NEW MAGIC WAND.” Animal Collective will be at Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur on Oct. 13.

Temples

On Oct. 15, Temples will be in San Francisco at The Independent in support of their latest release, “Hot Motion. Devendra Banhart will be touring his new album, “Ma,” at The Fillmore in San Francisco on Oct. 16 and The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall in Berkeley on Oct. 22.

The Garden

The Garden will be in Oakland at The New Parish on Oct. 24, San Luis Obispo at SLO Brew Rock on Oct. 25 and Santa Cruz at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz on Oct. 26.

Big Thief

The Fox Theater in Oakland will be hosting Big Thief on Oct. 29, following their second album release this year, “Two Hands.

(Sandy) Alex G

(Sandy) Alex G will be performing in Oakland at The New Parish with Slow Pulp and Tomberlin on Oct. 30. “House of Sugar,” his newest of nine albums and third through Domino Recording Co., was released on Sept. 13.
