Want to teach?

Come join the Student California Teachers Association (SCTA) club events to learn about a career in teaching. SCTA is a club that is geared toward helping prepare students who want to become teachers. SCTA will be offering several events this Spring 2019 semester. Our first general club meeting is Thursday, Feb. 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Student Center, room 120.

We want your suggestions in our suggestion box! Come to the meeting to learn about CPR training, the Lindy Hop Swing Dance event on April 26 and prep for the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST). Our CBEST test prep is Saturday, March 2 in Building 506, the Gambord Business Building, room 113. There will be math sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. and reading and writing from noon to 4 p.m.

To register for CBEST prep, visit http://tinyurl.com/3-2-19-GO-CBEST. SCTA is also rallying students to participate as Steinbeck Young Authors writing coaches on March 4, 2019 (come to our meeting for information). We will be having more club meetings on March 5, March 28, April 9 and April 23. There will be a CBEST test prep in South County as well. For more information, contact [email protected].
