Letter from the Editor

Welcome Back Otters.

To All New and Returning Otters and Staff,

Hello! My name is Jessenya Guerra and I am the Editor-in-Chief of The Lutrinae for the 2018-2019 academic year. I am so very excited to be publishing the second volume of the Lutrinae, as I had so much fun being a part during the first volume. I have so many plans and ideas to help grow The Lutrinae into a newspaper that California State University, Monterey Bay can be proud of.

I would like all readers of The Lutrinae to know that I take a lot of pride in this newspaper; and am very serious about ensuring that all things that are published in this paper are the best example of the work that our writers and reports can achieve. I hope that all of the readers of this paper understand the heart and dedication that all of our contributors hold as this is a completely student-run publication.

I want to thank all of the departments on campus for all the information that they have given us and will give us as we continue to report information to the campus. We only hope to strengthen the relationships that we hold with all departments in order to better the way accurate and timely information is given to all students and readers.

The Lutrinae is a place where students can go to hear truthful news and the opinions of their peers. We want the voices of any and all students, so if you have an opinion, we want you to know that it is worth sharing and worth being heard. We encourage all students to get involved in The Lutrinae. I am so looking forward to meeting all of you who choose to contribute and share your opinions with us.

Sincerely,

Jessenya Guerra
Editor-in-Chief
