On Saturday, April 7 CSUMB held their Admitted Student Reception. The Lutrinae, along with many other school organizations, put out booths to interest future students in their clubs and programs. While at this event The Lutrinae staff got curious as to why these students had chosen our beautiful campus over so many other schools.

“I want to be a physical trainer and a bunch of my friends and teachers have come to CSUMB in the past to pursue that career.”
Desiree Maldonado, Biology.
“I love the location and that the beach is so near to campus. I also have family in Salinas. In high school we had a club that toured campuses and I loved visiting this campus.”
Elisa Liberati, Marine Science.
“I really like the Marine Biology program here and I like how it’s so close to the beach. I like the overall vibe of the campus, it seems like a community oriented place and I wanna make friends and talk to people.”
