On March 14, the Colleges of Business, Science, and Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences will be joining forces with Associated Students to host a debate on “The Ethics of Fake News: Who Controls the Future of Democracy?” This debate will address questions about the impact of fake news on the public, the use of computer-generated algorithms to keep fake news out of media reporting, the variety of news sources and governments’ affiliations with fake news. This event is free to all students and will be held in the UC ballroom from 2 to 5 p.m., March 14.
