Finals Week Speech

It’s the final countdown,
final call
Final soft thud of my head against the wall
Full throttled abstention
Just one week to go
I’m google over-drive
And it’s starting to show

Click “Done”
“Exit Meeting”
Yes, i’d like to “Finish&Submit”
It’s not you monitor,
It’s me
But i’m calling it quits
We ought to stop seeing each other
Take a little time apart
Nature’s been flirting with me
And I think there’s a spark

Next,
I’d like to address the class,
All you capital letters
And voices
And jokesters in the chat
It saddens me to part our paths
I hope to see you around town
Then again,
I probably already have

I’d like to give an honorable mention to breakout room
#9 Together we have been through so much
I will miss you all dearly,
I don’t think I will ever again
share my screen so sincerely

Oh and just to get ahead of things,
A little PSA
For the foreseeable future,
No.
My google calendar is not up-to-date

So hold onto your zoom links
The jamboard can wait
I have a date with fresh air and
I’d hate to be late
