The Affinity Graduations honor the accomplishments and experiences of CSUMB graduates who come from historically marginalized backgrounds. The eight Affinity Graduations center the identities of students with dis/abilities, LGBTQ+, Undocumented, Black, Veteran, Native American, Asian & Pacific Islander, and Chicanx/Latinx graduates and their communities. Students who have completed their degrees in fall 2017 or are graduating in spring 2018 are encouraged to participate in the ceremonies.
The graduations are free to graduates and their guests. All graduations require a university e-ticket in order to participate. Tickets are limited per graduate due to capacity. Faculty and staff can attain their tickets by signing up at csumb.edu/commencement/affinity-graduations. All tickets will be provided via email and must be scanned or printed for entrance to graduation celebrations. Parking passes are required at all times and must be purchased.
