Spooky & savory

The Dining Commons (DC) at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) hosted a Halloween Drive-in eatery event on Oct. 26.

Already at the entrance, students were greeted with a Halloween bucket full of candy they could enjoy, while streaming the movie “Little Shop of Horrors” on their own devices.

Two of the stations in the DC had special pumpkin flavored food in honor of National Pumpkin Day.

The station “Flame” served a delicious pumpkin bbq chicken sandwich and an antipasti.

Meanwhile at “Chef’s Innovation,” students could choose from two different flavors of chili – either beef or the vegan option of pumpkin and bean.

Students had the option to add toppings to their bowl of chili such as red onion, cheese and pico de gallo.
